This person is John Larsson Wallin brother of my great grandfather Anders Larsson Walline. He was born in 1871, the son of Lars Andersson and Bengta Jeppsson, Vellinge, Sweden. I have an original of this photo, but it is also published in a book, "En Skohandlares Minnen," written by his brother, Nils Wallin, and published in 1947. Until we found this photo in the book, we had always assumed that it was a photo of Anders Larsson Walline. From the book, we know that he was living in Stockholm in March 1888. He moved to Stockholm as a young man to learn the trade of upholstery/furniture making. However, Household Examination Records from Vellinge indicate that he moved to Stockholm in 1894. Thus, I suspect that the photo was taken in 1894 or later.
